Bad summer hair days, be gone: This sleek salon offer a blowout bar, the best thing since, well, the open bar. Every Friday, from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m., Maxime stylists are on hand to make you look as sleek and polished as possible in 30 minutes for 20 bucks. If you’ve got a bit more time to spare, you can always lighten up or touch up your roots at their award winning open floor color lab (owner Ronit Enos is a whiz with blond highlights).

Scouring for the whole hair package without the Boston commute?

Consider Ronit Enos and her South Shore salon your light at the end of the tunnel. The energetic redhead does wonders with classic cuts and contemporary looks alike, and works diligently with clients to design exactly what they want (factoring in face shape, hair texture, and kindly, your budget). Most of all, we love her vision—she travels all over the globe regularly, always bringing back new ideas to her stylish salon and, more importantly, to her clients.

For years, Maxime has been on the mark with it's cuts and color. But the salon's atmosphere never quite matched it's high-end service. That changed when owner Ronit Enos relocated her team from Norwell to Hingham last year, choosing as her headquarters a brand-new, light-filled space decorated in a restful blend of creamy whites and earth tones. The new location creates a fresh backdrop for Maxime's long-standing artistry, a combination that's bound to please even the most exacting customer.

A Step Ahead - Formerly housed in Norwell, Maxime Salon has given itself a massive makeover in the form of a sparkling new space filled with streamlined-but-homey appointments, like custom sofas and Italian tile flooring. But the real beauty is what takes place in front of the mirrors - meticulous hair coloring (everything from rich browns to honeyed highlights) at the deft hands of owner Ronit Enos and her team, plus precise cuts and treatments that leave locks velvet-smooth.

Nothing disappoints like a colorist who listens to your needs, then executes an entirely different shade. Swear off such nasty surprises by enlisting Ronit Enos to help your hair. Her expert team does an exhaustive preprocess consultation with every client before creating intricate highlights and lustrous glazes. The only surprise here is a pleasant one: how natural your hair looks afterward.

For too long, having great hair has meant one thing: going to a salon in the city. No longer. The team at Maxime has perfected hair colors that can hit high notes from spun gold to glossy platinum, or deeper shades of auburn, chestnut, and chocolaty brown. On the cutting end, the styles range from funky and urbane to polished and preppy, but are always ultra-precise.

Norwell is hardly a hotbed of international enchantment, but this tiny house of beauty has it in spades. The journey begins in the tasseled Moroccan aesthetics room, where you can undergo a Valmont facial—using the famed and exquisite Swiss product line laced with sweet Bulgarian rose. Or give yourself over to one of the masseuses, who make their own herb-infused oils and will leave you wondering if you even have a spine. Maxime’s nerve center is a conglomerate of beauty bar and hair salon. (Ronit Enos is a meticulous whiz at color). Relax in the plush cranny decked out like the Taj Mahal as you wait for your day of beauty.

This intimate, two-floor spa and salon has brought top-of-the-line pampering and international luxuries to the South Shore. A cozy downstairs hair center turns heads with excellent highlights, while the candlelit loft area offers hot stone massages and heavenly (and hard-to-find) Valmont facials at the hands of carefully trained aestheticians.
